Distress Inks with Lindy

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Distress inks come in various colours, i have only used a couple as samples.
Use a dauber or a thick sponge to ink with, daubers work best i find.
The important step to remember if you want a light distress start from the outside going in.
If you want a heavier colour start at the middle and go out.
try first on some scrap paper.
The first three images i have distressed some white flowers each different effects
colours used are Tattered Rose dried Marigold and Broken China .

These can be purchased in the shop along with many other colours visit the shop click here

On the card I used the Heidi Swapp Butterfly Mask, inked with Broken China on the outside and tattered Rose towards the centre.
I stamped (clear arcylic stamps) with dried marigold and Frayed Burlap.

On the layout (we did similar in the Heidi Swapp Class) I started with the heart mask and layered the flower mark and the scroll mask and inked over each one
the effect is very cool.? I only had a light application of ink on the dauber each time, just keep inking to the desired effect.

Give this a try, great fun and very effective.
