3D Flowers

What a trend these have become with countless ways to make them.

In this simple class I will show you how to make a basic flower using punches and then from cutting paper to achieve the ultimate.

What you will need for the 1st flower is the following:-

Retro Daisy Punches in Large

Retro Daisy Punches in Medium

2 scraps of Pattern Paper in different colour?s

Foam Mounting Tape small Piece

Step 1

Take a piece of pattern paper and the large punch and punch a daisy then repeat this process with the medium punch

Step 2

Take each daisy and fold each petal in half

Step 3

Take the daisies and start to curl the petal tips up and to the left and right with your fingertips, remember Mother Nature isn?t perfect

Step 4

Place the large daisy on your mat and place a small square of foam mounting tape in the center and place the medium one on top of this and lightly press together

Step 5

You can now place some Bling in the center if you want a brad you will have to do this before you place it on top of the larger flower

Now if you want to achieve a really stunning flower you will need to look for a pattern paper with repeated flowers you can use in the example below I have used an Urban Lily paper and cut the flowers out including down the flowers towards the center.

I then used a pencil to curl the flowers to achieve the desired curl.

When putting it together I then added other types of fabric flowers to add depth and dimension you can also use Kindy Glitz or stickles for an added zing.

Below are some of my Lo?s using this method

Australia?s own Carole Jansen is the master of this technique I have included a couple of LO?s that I have done of Carole?s. Notice in the Carefree LO how she has used acetate flowers as well as ? fabric flowers and hand stitching to ad depth.
